5-toubun no Hanayome is also known as The Quintessential Quintuplets. It is a Japanese romance manga series written and illustrated by Negi Haruba.
The manga started off as an one-shot and quickly gained popularity among readers.It has been serialized weekly in Weekly Shounen Magazine since August 9, 2017.
The series follows the daily life of a high school student Futaro Uesugi who is hired as a private tutor for a group of quintuplets who perform poorly academically.
An anime television series adaptation produced by Tezuka Productions aired from January 10 to March 28, 2019 on TBS and other channels.
The anime series is licensed in North America under Crunchyroll-Funimation partnership. A second season by Bibury Animation Studios was originally scheduled for October 2020, but the premiere was delayed to January 2021 due to COVID-19.
